What three years costs

Same job, same three years. The monthly figure is not the point. One of these two stops, and the other does not.

The board count is the whole comparison

Nolt Essential is one board. Not one workspace with several boards in it: one. A second product means Pro at $69 a month billed yearly, which is $828 a year, and unlimited boards means talking to their sales team.

If you ship one thing and only ever will, that is a clean deal and the rest of this page is close. If you ship two, the arithmetic goes from $348 a year to $828 a year for no additional feature, only permission. Docket covers every product you will ever ship, on the free tier, for nothing.

Nolt also has no free tier at all, only a ten-day trial of Pro. It is the one tool here you cannot run indefinitely without paying.

What Docket is

Docket arrives as your own copy, in your own GitHub account. It gives you a feedback board, a public roadmap, a changelog, an FAQ and a testimonials wall, on your own domain, for as many products as you ship. Everything a customer sends you is kept in your own copy, so there is no database behind it and nothing that can be billed by the row.

The part that is different is the agentic side: scheduled jobs draft the first reply in your voice, write the changelog from what you shipped, and tell everybody who voted for something when it lands. You approve; it sends.

What Nolt is

Nolt is a feedback board done simply and done well. Flat rate, unlimited users, unlimited admins, unlimited content, and a settings screen you can read in one sitting. Private boards and JWT single sign-on are on the entry tier rather than held back, which is more generous than most of this category.

It is the only tool here with twenty-two interface languages out of the box, translated by its own community. It integrates two ways with Jira, Linear, Asana, monday.com, Intercom, Slack, Discord, Teams, Zapier, Make, GitHub and Trello. Enterprise adds a 99.9% uptime SLA, a security review and AI moderation, and there is a separate air-gapped EU build for buyers who need one.

Where Docket wins

• Every product you ship, on every tier. Nolt's entry tier is one board. This is not a close comparison.
• A free tier that exists. Nolt has none. Ten days, then it stops.
• It stops costing money. $99 against $1,044 over three years, and $2,484 if you needed five boards.
• Your data is already yours. Nolt exports to CSV on every plan, but exporting is something you have to remember to do rather than the way it already is.
• It writes for you. Nolt is a board. Docket drafts the reply, writes the changelog and tells the voters.

Best for: One person or a small team shipping software who wants the board, roadmap, changelog and FAQ on their own domain, paid for once at $99.

Not for: Anyone who wants a vendor to run it for them. There is no hosted version, you set it up in your own GitHub account, and it is newer and smaller than Canny or Productboard.

Where Nolt is the better buy

• Twenty-two languages. If your customers are not all English speakers, this is decisive and nothing else here matches it.
• Genuinely simple. The smallest surface area in this category. There is a real cost to features you did not want, and Nolt avoids it.
• Integrations that go both ways. A dozen of them, properly built, which matters if your engineering work already lives in Jira or Linear.
• An air-gapped EU option. A separately hosted European product, which is a serious answer to a serious procurement question.
• Private boards and SSO on the entry tier. Most of this category holds both back. Nolt does not.

Best for: One board, run simply and beautifully, with unlimited users and 22 interface languages out of the box.

Not for: A studio shipping several products. The entry tier is one board, and five boards means Pro at $69 a month, $828 a year.

Is there a free version of Nolt?

Nolt does not have one. New boards get a ten-day trial of the Pro plan without a card, and then you pay or you stop.

Docket's free edition never expires: one board, on your own domain, with unlimited users and posts, and no automation.

So which should you pick?
