Going through the options
Canny, $79 a month billed yearly
Unlimited boards on every plan, including the free one, which is the single thing UserJot gates hardest. In exchange you are priced by tracked user, so the bill grows as the board works: $79 a month at a hundred, $1,349 at five thousand. Their Autopilot AI pulls feedback out of Intercom, Zendesk and Gong conversations without anybody filing anything, which nothing else here does.
Best for: A funded team that wants the most mature board in the category, with Intercom, Zendesk and Jira integrations already built.
Not for: Anyone whose customer count is about to grow. The price is tied to tracked users, and that meter only moves one way.
Featurebase, $29 per seat a month
Much broader: a helpdesk, a help centre, surveys and a changelog as well as a board. Worth it if you are buying all four. Two catches to read carefully. It is priced per seat, so a team of three is $1,044 a year, and removing their branding is a separate $69 a month add-on sold only on the $59 per seat plan or above.
Best for: A team that wants a helpdesk, a help centre and a feedback board from one vendor, with the best design in the category.
Not for: A team of more than one or two people on a budget. Seats compound at $29 each a month, and removing the badge is a further $69 a month on Professional or above.
Nolt, $29 a month billed yearly
The simplest tool here and the only one with 22 interface languages out of the box. Private boards and JWT single sign-on sit on the entry tier rather than being held back. The limit is severe though: the entry tier is one board, where UserJot gives you five for the same money, and there is no free plan at all.
Best for: One board, run simply and beautifully, with unlimited users and 22 interface languages out of the box.
Not for: A studio shipping several products. The entry tier is one board, and five boards means Pro at $69 a month, $828 a year.
Frill, $22 a month billed yearly
The cheapest hosted headline, and the one where the tier needs reading twice: fifty active ideas, and privacy sold as an add-on until the $136 a month plan. What it does that UserJot does not is surveys embedded in your own product, NPS and CSAT where the customer already is.
Best for: A team that wants surveys, NPS and scheduled announcements sitting alongside the board.
Not for: Anyone who wants private boards or full white labelling cheaply. Both sit behind higher tiers, white labelling at $136 a month billed yearly.
Fider, free
The open source option, AGPL-3.0 and actively maintained. Voting, roadmap and private boards, on your own domain, for the cost of a small VPS and a mail sender, about $6 to $12 a month. Two catches: there is no changelog feature at all, and three releases in three months to July 2026 fixed a critical authentication flaw and then SSRF and XSS. Noticing and applying each one is your job.
Best for: A developer who is comfortable running Docker, PostgreSQL and a mail sender, and wants no licence cost at all.
Not for: Anyone who needs a changelog, which Fider does not have, or who would rather not be the one applying security patches.
Docket, $99 once
Ours, so read it knowing that. Your own copy, in your own GitHub account, on your own domain, covering every product you ship with no board cap on any tier including free. Feedback lands in it, and Docket drafts the replies and writes the changelog. Your coding agent sets it up in about ten minutes.

Best for: One person or a small team shipping software who wants the board, roadmap, changelog and FAQ on their own domain, paid for once.
Not for: Anyone who wants a vendor to run it for them. There is no hosted version, you set it up in your own GitHub account, and it is newer and smaller than Canny or Productboard.
Which UserJot alternative should you choose?
Three questions, and they settle almost every case.
- How many products will this cover? UserJot gives you five at $29 and unlimited only at $59. Nolt gives you one. Canny, Fider and Docket have no cap at all.
- Who is going to run it? If the answer is nobody, pay somebody to. Fider's three security releases in three months are a fair warning about the other side of that trade.
- Do you want the price to move? Canny's rises with your success by design. Everyone else here is flat, and one of them stops.
