How do the Nolt alternatives compare?

Every figure read on 23 August 2026 from each vendor's own pricing page: frill.co, userjot.com, featurebase.app, canny.io and Fider's repository. Nolt is $29 a month billed yearly for one board, and $69 for five.

Going through the options

UserJot, $29 a month

The obvious swap. The same money buys five boards instead of one, priced per workspace with unlimited end users, and a free tier with two boards exists so you can try it properly. AI duplicate detection and AI changelog drafting on top.

Best for: One product, or up to five boards, and a team that wants a hosted board today at a price that does not move as customers arrive.

Not for: Anyone running more than five boards on the entry plan, or a buyer who needs a longer track record than a tool built by one person can show.

Canny, $79 a month billed yearly

Unlimited boards on every plan, including the free one, which is as far from Nolt's single board as this category goes. Priced by tracked user instead, so it starts higher and grows with use. Their free plan gives you unlimited boards and private boards inside a 25 tracked user cap.

Best for: A funded team that wants the most mature board in the category, with Intercom, Zendesk and Jira integrations already built.

Not for: Anyone whose customer count is about to grow. The price is tied to tracked users, and that meter only moves one way.

Featurebase, $29 per seat a month

Five boards at the entry tier and a free plan with one. Much broader than Nolt: a helpdesk, help centre and surveys as well. Watch two things, that it is priced per seat rather than flat, and that removing the branding is a $69 a month add-on.

Best for: A team that wants a helpdesk, a help centre and a feedback board from one vendor, with the best design in the category.

Not for: A team of more than one or two people on a budget. Seats compound at $29 each a month, and removing the badge is a further $69 a month on Professional or above.

Frill, $22 a month billed yearly

Cheaper than Nolt and with surveys built in, which Nolt has no equivalent of. No published board count anywhere on their pricing page, so if multiple boards is your reason for leaving, ask them before you switch. Fifty active ideas at the entry tier.

Best for: A team that wants surveys, NPS and scheduled announcements sitting alongside the board.

Not for: Anyone who wants private boards or full white labelling cheaply. Both sit behind higher tiers, white labelling at $136 a month billed yearly.

Fider, free

AGPL-3.0, actively maintained, and unlimited in every direction because there is no vendor to meter you. Docker, PostgreSQL, your own mail sender, roughly $6 to $12 a month of hosting. No changelog feature at all, and you own the security patching: three releases in three months to July 2026, one fixing a critical authentication flaw.

Best for: A developer who is comfortable running Docker, PostgreSQL and a mail sender, and wants no licence cost at all.

Not for: Anyone who needs a changelog, which Fider does not have, or who would rather not be the one applying security patches.

Docket, $99 once

Ours. Unlimited products on every tier including free, which is the direct answer to Nolt's single board. Your own domain, no seats, no meter, and a free edition that never expires where Nolt has only a ten-day trial. Feedback lands in it. You run it, and it assumes a coding agent.

Best for: One person or a small team shipping software who wants the board, roadmap, changelog and FAQ on their own domain, paid for once.

Not for: Anyone who wants a vendor to run it for them. There is no hosted version, you set it up in your own GitHub account, and it is newer and smaller than Canny or Productboard.

Which Nolt alternative should you choose?

Three questions, and they settle almost every case.

• How many products do you ship? This is why you are here. Nolt is $348 a year for one and $828 for five. UserJot is $348 for five. Canny, Fider and Docket do not count them at all.
• Do you need to try before you pay? Nolt gives you ten days. Canny, Featurebase, UserJot, Fider and Docket all have a free tier you can sit on indefinitely.
• What do you lose by leaving? Nolt's 22 interface languages, and its two-way integrations with Jira, Linear and Asana. If either matters to your customers, weigh it properly.
