Why this page concedes so much
We sell a competing product. A review that always concluded "buy ours" would be worth nothing to you, so here is the honest starting position: of everything we have looked at in this category, Featurebase is the one whose scope most closely overlaps Docket's, and it is the one we would most often recommend instead.
It is also the product that validated this page format. Featurebase publishes exactly this shape of review of other people's tools, including an Aha! review, so they will recognise the exercise.
What Featurebase does well
It is not a request board, it is a suite. A full helpdesk with live chat and an omnichannel inbox, a help centre with AI search and multilingual AI translation, NPS and CSAT surveys, changelog widgets, banners and outbound email, plus the feature request board and roadmap. Four or five separate subscriptions for most teams, in one.
The design is the best in the category and it is not close. That is a soft claim, so here is the hard one behind it: 4.7 from 50 reviews on G2 with 41 of those at five stars, and 5.0 from 18 on Product Hunt. Both read in a browser on 23 August 2026. Their own homepage claims they are used by teams at Lovable, Raycast and n8n, which is their claim rather than ours, but it is the right sort of company for a product sold on craft.
AI is wired through the whole thing. Duplicate detection, board suggestions, AI tagging, an answer agent on the help centre, and separate reader and writer MCP connectors so an agent can work the board.
Procurement is covered. SOC 2 Type II, EU hosting in the Netherlands and Germany, SCIM provisioning, single sign-on from the Professional tier.
The startup discount is unusually generous. 86 per cent off, for companies founded less than two years ago with fewer than six employees, plus a year of their AI agent free. If you qualify, most of the arithmetic below stops applying and you should take it.
What does Featurebase cost in 2026?
| Plan | Billed yearly | Seats | Boards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 1 |
| Growth | $29 per seat/mo | Per seat | 5 |
| Professional | $59 per seat/mo | Per seat | 10 |
| Enterprise | $99 per seat/mo | Per seat | Unlimited |
Read from featurebase.app/pricing on 23 August 2026. The page renders its digits client-side, so these were read in a browser rather than fetched. Three charges sit on top of the seat price and all three are printed on that page: $0.49 per AI resolution on every paid tier, $69 a month to remove Featurebase branding, available only on Professional and Enterprise, and unlimited AI Copilot at $19 per seat a month on Growth, which otherwise gives ten Copilot conversations per seat a month.
Three things about that shape are worth stating plainly rather than implying.
- It is per seat, so the bill multiplies by your team. Two people on Growth is $696 a year, three is $1,044, before any add-on. Every other hosted tool in this comparison charges per workspace or per board.
- Badge removal is the most expensive line of its kind we have found. $69 a month is $828 a year, and it cannot be bought at all below Professional, so the real cost of an unbranded board for one person is $59 a seat plus $69.
- The free tier is a single seat and a single board. Fine for evaluating, not a place to live.
Who Featurebase is wrong for
Anyone who only wanted the board. The helpdesk, the live chat and the AI agent are most of what you are paying for. If your support already lives somewhere else and works, you are buying a second inbox.
Teams where several people need admin access. Per seat is the pricing unit that punishes exactly that, and it is the one thing a growing support team always needs more of.
Anyone who needs the badge gone on a small budget. $59 a seat plus $69 a month is a real number for a solo developer, and Upvoty removes its branding at $15 a month.
Anyone with a hard requirement to hold the data themselves. There is no self-hosted Featurebase. EU hosting is offered, and for most residency requirements that is enough, but it is not the same thing.
Open both and compare like for like.
Where Docket fits
One question, and no fudging it. Same product shape, rented forever or bought once and run yourself.
Featurebase Growth for one person is $348 a year, so $1,044 over three years, and it keeps going. Docket Pro is $99, once, for unlimited products, with the badge gone at that price and no per-seat line at all. Studio is $249. Over three years, that is $99 against $1,044 for one seat, and Featurebase's number triples if three of you need admin access while Docket's does not move.
Here is what you give up for that. No live chat, no omnichannel inbox, no SOC 2 report, no hosted uptime that is somebody else's problem, no support team, and no five years of other people having found the bugs first. Docket is static files plus two endpoints, so there is no database and no server to patch, but you are the one who owns the deployment and it assumes you have a coding agent open.
If reading that list made you uneasy, buy Featurebase. That is not a polite hedge, it is the correct decision for a team without somebody who wants to own a deployment, and it is why this page exists in the shape it does. Our head-to-head page puts both columns side by side, and the alternatives page prices the rest of the field if neither of us is right.
