Table
This is what one person pays over three years, on the entry plan that does the job, with your own branding where the vendor sells it.
| Tool | Plan | Three years |
|---|---|---|
| Loop | $49 once, 10 GB free | $49 |
| Microsoft 365 | Business Basic, no Teams | $194.40 |
| Google Workspace | Business Starter | $252 |
| Jumpshare | Plus, annual | $432 |
| Frame.io | Pro, annual | $468 |
| Tiiny Host | Solo, annual | $468 |
| Dropbox | Standard, yearly | $540 |
| WeTransfer | Ultimate, yearly | $684 |
| Papermark | Pro, yearly | $1,044 |
| DocSend | Standard, yearly | $1,080 to $1,620 |
| ShareFile | Advanced, three users | $1,782 |
These are US dollars for one person, billed yearly, before tax, with each price held flat for three years. We do not say what any vendor will charge later. Three things are not like for like.
- Microsoft and Google are work suites. They include email and office apps, and neither lists branded links, so they are the price floor for somewhere to put files.
- DocSend's page shows two price lists, at random, so we show a range. The $360 a year list gives $1,080, and the $540 list gives $1,620.
- ShareFile has no one-person plan. Its smallest purchase is three users.
Loop's $49 leaves out Cloudflare storage past 10 GB, which the next section adds.
Storage
Loop's files sit in your own Cloudflare account. Cloudflare's pricing page, updated 30 October 2026, lists storage at $0.015 per GB-month, with the first 10 GB-month free each month and no data-transfer charge for downloads. Loop's cost is $49 plus (GB stored minus 10) times $0.015 for each month.
| Stored | A year | Loop, three years |
|---|---|---|
| 10 GB or less | $0 | $49 |
| 100 GB | $16.20 | $97.60 |
| 500 GB | $88.20 | $313.60 |
| 1 TB | $178.20 | $583.60 |
These assume steady storage for 36 months. Cloudflare says only "GB", so treat the figures as about. Cloudflare also bills operations, but at one person's volume they sit far inside its free tier, and we did not measure them. Cloudflare may ask for a card when you switch storage on, and we have not tested whether the free 10 GB needs one.
Break-Even
For a one-person studio holding under about 250 GB, Loop costs less than every plan in the table, including the cheapest. Past that, the subscriptions include storage, and some become cheaper on price alone.
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic is cheaper than Loop above about 280 GB.
- Jumpshare Plus is cheaper above about 720 GB, and includes 2 TB.
- Frame.io Pro is cheaper above about 790 GB, and includes 2 TB.
- Google Workspace Business Standard ($168 a year, 2 TB) is cheaper above about 850 GB. The Starter plan in the table includes only 30 GB.
- Dropbox Standard is cheaper above about 920 GB.
- WeTransfer Ultimate is cheaper above about 1,190 GB.
At 1 TB held for three years, Loop is $583.60, against $432 for Jumpshare Plus, $468 for Frame.io Pro and $540 for Dropbox Standard. Those plans include 2 to 3 TB, and Dropbox syncs too. Loop is a link for finished files, not an archive, and it does not replace that.
What You Give Up
Paying once means going without things the subscriptions include.
- A client portal or client login. ShareFile lists an enhanced client portal on its Premium plan, not on the Advanced plan priced here.
- Open alerts when someone opens a link. DocSend lists real-time read notifications. Loop sends a notification to your Mac while it is running.
- Windows, iPhone or Android apps for the sender. Loop is a Mac app, though the person opening a link can use any browser.
- Folder sync across devices, which Dropbox and OneDrive list.
- Storage in the price. Loop's own is 10 GB free, then Cloudflare's rate.
Loop needs a free Cloudflare account to be set up first. During the 14-day free trial a small "Shared with Loop" badge shows on the pages your clients see, and it goes with a licence. If the trial ends and you do not buy, Loop's code says no new links can be made until a key is entered, and existing links keep working because they live in your own Cloudflare account.
Your own branded link, with notes on the exact second. $49 once.
