Sender Stays PutAnonymousI verified an address I don't use any more and there's no way to remove it. Still sitting in the dropdown, still catching me out about once a week.Aug 15FernpostUnder ReviewPreview Text IgnoredAnonymousI set the preview line and the inbox shows the first sentence of the issue instead. Apple Mail and Gmail both.Aug 13FernpostUnder ReviewDuplicate FooterSamOnly on imported issues. If I write one from scratch it shows once. The sent version is fine so it's only the preview, but I keep thinking I've broken something and going back in to fix it.Aug 11FernpostUnder ReviewArchive Sorts OddlyAnonymousMy archive page has January 2024 sitting between two issues from last month. Everything else is in order. It's the one issue I imported twice by accident, if that's relevant.Aug 9FernpostUnder ReviewUnsubscribe Still SendsKwameSomeone unsubscribed on the Tuesday, got the confirmation page, and received Thursday's issue anyway. She emailed me about it rather than you, which is the part I mind. I've checked her record and she is definitely marked as unsubscribed. My guess is the queue was already built before she left.Support Team You've diagnosed it correctly, and this is the worst thing on the board so I'm treating it that way. The queue takes a copy of the recipient list when the issue is scheduled rather than when it sends, so anyone who leaves in between is still on the copy. Somebody asking to be left alone and then being written to anyway isn't a rendering problem.Aug 5FernpostIn ProgressImport Stalls SilentlyBeaBrought 12,000 subscribers over from Mailchimp. The bar reached about 80% and stopped. No error, no email, and it was still sitting there the next morning. Second attempt worked, so I have them now, but I nearly gave up.Support Team Nearly giving up is the right response to a progress bar that stops and says nothing, so that part is on me. A stall at roughly that point usually means one malformed row the importer can't parse and won't skip. It should tell you which row and carry on.Aug 2FernpostIn ProgressClock Change DriftMartaEvery issue I had queued for the week of the 27th went out at 08:00 instead of 09:00. I'm in Lisbon and the schedule was set before the clocks changed. Nothing else about them was different. Two were embargoed until 09:00, so I've spent this morning apologising to people. Not ideal.Support Team You're right, and thank you for mentioning the embargo, that's the part that actually matters here. The schedule is stored in your local time but the worker compares against UTC, so anything queued before a clock change is out by the difference until it's saved again. I'm fixing the comparison rather than asking everyone to go and re-save.Jul 29FernpostIn ProgressImages Lose CaptionsYusufCaptions show in the editor and in the preview, then vanish in the version that actually arrives. Only on images I've dragged in rather than pasted.Support Team Reproduced on the second try, and the drag detail is why. A dragged image goes down a different path that was never taught about the caption.Jul 11FernpostCompletedSubject Lines CutDeeanything over about 70 characters gets cut with no ellipsis. "Everything we learned about onboarding" went out as "Everything we learned about onboard" which isn't a great lookSupport Team Fixed in 1.6.2, out now. It cuts on a word boundary and adds an ellipsis, and the editor warns you at 60 characters instead of quietly letting you write something that won't fit.Jul 7FernpostCompletedGmail Clips IssuesInesAnything over about 100KB gets a "view entire message" link partway down, usually right in the middle of a sentence. Half my list is on Gmail so half my list stops reading there.Support Team Gmail clips at 102KB and always has. What Fernpost was doing wrong was padding the HTML enough to hit it on issues that had no business being that big.Jun 20FernpostCompleted
