Brought 12,000 subscribers over from Mailchimp. The bar reached about 80% and stopped. No error, no email, and it was still sitting there the next morning.
Second attempt worked, so I have them now, but I nearly gave up.

Nearly giving up is the right response to a progress bar that stops and says nothing, so that part is on me.
A stall at roughly that point usually means one malformed row the importer can't parse and won't skip. It should tell you which row and carry on.

Working on it now. The importer will skip what it cannot read, finish the rest, and hand you the rejected rows as a small CSV you can fix and re-import. It will also email you when a long import finishes, because watching a bar for twenty minutes is not a reasonable ask.
