About

Longplay turns your Apple Music library into a wall of album artwork and asks you to listen the way records were meant to be heard: whole albums, front to back. Its Negligence Sorting surfaces favourites you have not played in ages, Smart Collections organise the wall by genre or rating automatically, and Album Purity Mode keeps playback strictly sequential.

Indie developer Adrian Schoenig brought Longplay to the Mac on 15 July 2025, after years as a beloved iOS app, adding a dedicated mini player, AppleScript support, more than 25 Shortcuts actions and, unusually, a built-in MCP server so AI assistants like Claude can browse and play your collection. The Mac version is a one-time $29.99 purchase on the Mac App Store, with collections synced across devices via iCloud.
