It quietly fixes the tedium of a local library too: Artwork Search finds missing covers, Merge Albums stitches multi-disc releases together, and Liked Songs and Recently Added views keep everything organised.
Doppler Transfer moves music between Mac and iPhone over WiFi, USB or AirDrop, sidestepping iTunes-era syncing entirely. Made by Brushed Type, the Mac app reached version 3.2 in October 2025 and runs on macOS 11 Big Sur or newer. It costs $30 as a one-time purchase with a free trial, which feels exactly right for software built around ownership.
