Dia is the AI-first browser from The Browser Company, the team behind Arc, which was acquired by Atlassian in 2025. Instead of bolting a chatbot onto a sidebar, Dia treats your open tabs as context: ask a question and it answers using the pages you are actually reading, drafts writing in your own tone, and carries skills you can build for repeated tasks like trip planning or code review.
After a long invite-only beta, Dia launched publicly in October 2025 and is free to use, with a Dia Pro subscription at $20 per month for unlimited AI chat and skills. It requires macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon. Tracker blocking, ad blocking and encrypted sync are built in, and the whole thing feels unmistakably native to the Mac.
