Atlas activation & licence-key help

By the Atlas team · 3 June 2026 · 4 min read

Bought Atlas and the key won't activate, or hasn't landed in your inbox? Activation takes about a minute, and almost every snag comes down to one of three simple things.

How it works: you buy Atlas once through the checkout, your licence key arrives by email, and you paste it into the app to activate. Activation is verified online a single time, so you need an internet connection for that first step. If the key has not arrived, check your spam folder first.

Atlas has no account to create and nothing to sign up for. The licence key is the whole system. That keeps things private and simple, and it means the handful of things that can go wrong are easy to fix.

How does Atlas activation work?

There are three steps, and most people are through them in under a minute:

  1. Buy Atlas once. A single purchase of $9.99 through the checkout. No subscription, no recurring fees.
  2. Receive your key by email. Your licence key is sent to the address you used at checkout.
  3. Paste it into the app. Open Atlas, paste the whole key into the activation field, and it verifies once over the internet. After that, Atlas is yours.

If you have not downloaded Atlas yet, start with getting started with Atlas, then come back here when it is time to activate.

My licence key hasn't arrived. What now?

The key is delivered to the email address you entered at checkout, so the first thing to confirm is which inbox that was. Then work through this short list:

My key won't activate. How do I fix it?

When a key is in hand but the app will not accept it, the cause is nearly always one of two small things:

Copy the whole key, including the prefix

The safest method is to copy the key directly from your confirmation email rather than typing it by hand. That avoids dropped or mistyped characters, which are the single most common reason activation fails.

When to contact support

If you have checked your spam folder, copied the whole key, and confirmed you are online, and it still will not activate, that is the moment to reach out. Email support@theodorehq.com and mention the address you used at checkout so we can find your purchase quickly. We would much rather hear from you than have you stuck.

Once you are activated, you are ready to pin teammates and cities, find the overlap, and book meetings in everyone's correct local time. That is what Atlas is for.
