About

WeMotion is a Mac app for motion graphics: launch films, product videos, social clips, title sequences and explainers. You describe what you want and Motion, an AI motion designer, builds the film layer by layer while you watch, with nothing to render and no timeline to learn. Then you point at anything on the film to change it: pause on a frame, click the title, type "Make the title land harder", and the note pins to that layer at that moment. Dozens of built-in effects run live inside the film, from liquid chrome and aurora to neon and ink, and Motion writes a new one when a film needs it.

Vibe mode is for speed, and Pro mode gives you every layer, keyframe and easing curve by hand, with Motion still there when you want a hand. Paste a link and Motion builds the film in your brand, composes an original soundtrack timed to the cuts, and draws on more than 120 built-in typefaces that are free to use in anything you make. Export goes up to 4K at 60 fps, encoded by your Mac's own hardware, and every film is a file you own. WeMotion is free, runs on Macs with Apple silicon, and needs a Claude plan or an Anthropic API key.

Alternatives

  • Motion

Pick Motion if you want Apple's own motion graphics app: it is $49.99 once on the Mac App Store, built for Apple silicon, and needs macOS 26.6 or later.

  • Jitter

Pick Jitter if you want a team-friendly animation tool with a free plan and a library of 400+ templates; paid plans add HD export and remove the watermark.

Curator's Note

“A motion graphics app you direct rather than operate: describe the film, watch it play, then point at what you would change.”
