Tot gives you exactly seven notes, each a colour-coded dot, and that constraint is the whole idea: it is a tiny holding pen for the text you juggle all day, not another archive to maintain. Phone numbers, snippets, half-written replies and stray to-dos live in dots that sync over iCloud between Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, always a click or a keystroke away in the menu bar.
Tot 2, released in August 2025, added custom smart bullets, text dividers, automatic indenting and automatic backups, and moved to a free-to-try model: the full Mac version is a one-time $19.99 unlock, with no subscription. The Iconfactory has been making Apple software since 1996, and that experience shows in every pixel of this one.
