Shapr3D is professional CAD rebuilt for Apple hardware. The Budapest-based team designed it for pen and touch on iPad, then brought the same engine to the Mac as a true native app, so orbiting, sectioning and history-based parametric modelling stay smooth even on complex assemblies. It combines direct and parametric workflows, generates dimensioned 2D drawings from your 3D bodies, and renders photorealistic visualisations in real time.
Files move in and out through industry formats including STEP, IGES and STL, which keeps it compatible with SolidWorks-centred engineering teams. The Basic plan is free with two projects; Pro costs $299 per year with a 14-day trial, and students get a year free. Version 26, current in 2026, syncs projects across Mac, iPad and Windows through Shapr3D Cloud.
