Bristol Reads Early

BugIn Progress

Everywhere else I've checked is right. Bristol reads about an hour early for two or three days after a spring tide, then sorts itself out.

I sail there most weekends so I've now watched it happen twice.

Rob, the detail that it corrects itself after a couple of days narrows this a lot. Thank you. We'll post here when we know more.

Found it. The Bristol Channel has one of the largest tidal ranges in the world and our interpolation between station readings assumes a smaller one, so the curve skews for a few days after a spring.

Fixing the interpolation rather than special-casing the station, because anywhere else with a big range will be doing the same thing quietly.
