After the download

Four steps to get up and running.

   Open the DMG file

   Double-click the Shiny disk image in your Downloads folder. A small window opens, showing the Shiny icon next to a shortcut to your Applications folder.

   Drag Shiny into Applications

   Drag the Shiny icon onto the Applications shortcut. macOS copies the app across, then eject the disk image by right-clicking it on your desktop.

   Right-click and choose Open

   Open Applications, right-click Shiny, and choose Open. macOS asks because the app came from outside the App Store; that is Gatekeeper being cautious.

4. 4

   Paste your licence key

   On first launch, Shiny asks for your licence key. Copy it from the email and paste it in. Stored locally on your Mac; no account, no sign-in.
